About QRtime
QRtime is a fast and privacy-friendly QR code generator by TimeJuggle. Paste any URL or short text, choose size and error correction, and download a crisp PNG instantly. Everything runs locally in your browser, your data is not uploaded to any server.
How to Create a QR Code
- Enter content: Paste a link (e.g., https://www.timejuggle.com) or short text.
- Pick a size: Choose from 120–1024 px. For print (flyers/posters), use 512 px or higher.
- Choose ECC level: L, M, Q, or H (see the guide below).
- Generate & download: Click “Download” to save a PNG.
- Test it: Scan with your phone camera before publishing.
What Is ECC (Error Correction)?
ECC determines how much of the QR can be damaged or covered while remaining scannable. Higher levels add redundancy, making codes more robust (useful for print, logos, or rough surfaces).
- L (Low): ~7% recovery. Smallest file/blocks; good for clean digital use.
- M (Medium): ~15% recovery. Balanced default for most cases.
- Q (Quartile): ~25% recovery. Better for small prints or mild wear.
- H (High): ~30% recovery. Best for print with possible damage or when placing a small logo in the center.
Best Practices
- Contrast: Dark modules on a light background scan best.
- Quiet zone: Keep some white space around the code.
- Short URLs: Shorter content = less dense = easier to scan.
- Printing: For business cards use ≥ 256 px; for posters use ≥ 512 px.
